What we collect
Nothing.
Left. has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your financial data, personal information, or usage data. We have no way to know who uses Left. or what they enter into it. We don't even know if you have the app installed.
Where your data lives
Everything you enter in Left. is stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's standard SwiftData framework, and (if you choose) synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Apple's privacy policy governs iCloud. We never see that data.
If you disable iCloud for Left. in your iPhone settings, all your data stays exclusively on your device and isn't backed up anywhere.
Apple Intelligence and on-device AI
Several Left. features use Apple Intelligence:
- Smart categorization. Guesses the category for a new expense as you type.
- Receipt scanning. Auto-fills merchant, total, and date from a photo.
- Monthly snapshot. An AI-written summary of how your month is going.
- Left Assist. The in-app AI budget coach.
All of these run on your device, using Apple's on-device foundation models. Your financial data is never sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other third party. Nothing leaves your iPhone for AI processing.
Third-party services
Left. uses no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporters, and no attribution services. No Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no AppsFlyer, no Branch.

Payments
When you purchase Left. Pro, the purchase is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We don't see your credit card information, your billing address, your name, or your email. Apple may share aggregated, anonymized purchase reports with us, for example, "ten people bought Pro in Germany this week." We use those only to understand the business.
Children
Left. is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because we don't collect anything at all.
Deleting your data
Open Settings inside the app and tap Start Fresh to delete everything from your device. To also remove the iCloud copy, go to your iPhone's Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Left., and delete the data there. Once deleted, it cannot be recovered.
Changes
If we ever change this policy, we'll update this page and bump the date at the top. Material changes (which we don't anticipate) would also be announced in the app.
